Kelly Griffin, RealtorĀ®, RCS-D, CPRES

What sets Kelly Griffin apart as an Elliman agent is her passion, for real estate and marketing, and for serving her clients through difficult transitions (divorce & probate) with her in-depth knowledge of the market.

Of the 25 years living in San Diego County, Griffin has spent the last 17 years in North County.  She called Carmel Valley and Del Mar home before that. Her clientele concentration and recent transactions have been in the Bressi Ranch & La Costa Greens communities of Carlsbad. She lives in Bressi Ranch and has been a resident since the first phase of the community fourteen years ago, and has become a specialist in the area.

Working with Kelly to buy or sell your property is getting a 100% commitment from her.  You hire Kelly and you get Kelly.  You wont be passed on to assistants or other agents only to never hear from her again throughout the transaction and reappearing at the closing of escrow. She is present every-step-of-the-transaction. “My business approach working with my clients is to give them extraordinary service that goes above and beyond a typical client/agent relationship,” says Griffin. “I include details to the transaction such as preparation advise, home staging & decor, suggestions on improvements to make on the home to get the max price and have a quick sale. I want my clients experience to be a smooth and positive experience.”

Having a desire to add more diversity to her resume,  she has expanded on her real estate education earning a specialized designation in Divorce Real Estate as well as Probate. "Being a divorced, single mother of 3 kids (now grown), and having gone through my own divorce created a fire in me to pay it forward to help women & men in my similar situation navigate the divorce process. I want to share the knowledge I gained from my own experience - the good, the bad & the ugly. I have partnered with 2 amazing collegues to create a support system for divorcing couples that I could not be more excited about." [See the 'Divorce & Probate' Tab for further details]

She felt pursuing her certification in Probate was out of necessity as she was fielding more and more inquiries on aging parents and their homes.  "As we get older, (...and I'm no spring chicken) our parents are getting older too. Difficult conversations have to be had and sometimes we, the adult children, have to take on the task of getting our parents affairs in order. Friends were calling me with questions regarding their parents homes and how they should be structured in Wills, Trusts, etc. At first, I didn't have the answers. So, I got my certification on the subject and learned everything I could about it. Clearly, I'm not an estate attorney and don't claim to be, but I can now answer the questions that come my way on the probate process and how to avoid it."

Griffin, is very active in the community. Along with her two daughters, they volunteered in National Charity League for seven years, organized community food drives during the holidays, and spent numerous hours serving meals at the Carlsbad Senior Center.  Griffin spent three years on the Board of Directors and has been the Chairwoman of three of their social events. Griffin is currently volunteering with The Country Friends, an organization based out of Rancho Santa Fe.

Her two daughters are now off to college in New York City and her son resides up in Los Angeles so outside of her job, Griffin plans visit her kids. She also loves traveling, exploring local farmers markets, wine tasting, the beach, and the mountains.

“This may totally sound cliche,” says Griffin, “but I love driving through different communities getting myself familiar with the neighborhoods and looking at houses because I appreciate residential architecture. I also love going through model homes and taking photos for design ideas and room and space layouts to share with clients.”

Griffin’s genuine love for her work obviously shines through in both her personal and professional life.
